Abundance and Famine
Every 8 hours, the whole server’s Gold-to-XTO swaps decide whether drops get better or worse for everyone.
Few swaps bring Abundance (up to +25%). Many swaps bring Famine (down to −75%).

What is Abundance and Famine?
The world of EXTOCIUM changes with what all adventurers do. When many players swap Gold for XTO, the world falls into Famine. When few do, it enjoys Abundance.
- The world state changes every 8 hours, at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 (KST).
- It depends on how much XTO the whole server got by swapping Gold for XTO in the last 8 hours. Swapping XTO for Gold does not count.
- The state changes the drop chance of items and Gold. It is the same for every player on the server.
States and stages

Stages
If the same state comes again in a row, it goes up one stage. The highest stage is 5. After stage 5, it starts again from stage 1.

- When the state changes (for example, from Famine to Neutral or Abundance), the stages reset. The new state starts at stage 1.
What changes
- The change applies to the chance that an item or Gold drops, not to the amount.
- It works on monster and raid boss drops, and on drops from gathering.
- Drops with a 100% chance always drop, in every state.
ExampleAn item has a 10% drop chance. In Abundance stage 2 (+10%), the chance is 11%. In Famine stage 2 (−30%), it is 7%.
Checking the current state
- During Abundance, a Time of abundance. panel appears on the main screen. During Famine, A famine has occurred. appears. Each shows the time left.
- Tap the panel to see the time remaining for this turn, the number of XTO swapped this turn, and the current drop rate change.
- In the Neutral state and in PvP fields, the panel is not shown.
