Hero level and stats

Level up your hero, place your stat points and read your combat stats. This page explains how they fit together.

Each level-up gives 1 stat point. You can reset your points with a Book of Oblivion.

Level and EXP

Heroes level up by earning EXP. The highest level is Lv.59. Each hero has its own level.

How to earn EXP

  • Defeat monsters, alone or in a party, including raid bosses.
  • Collect resources in the field.
  • Use EXP/TP Magic Vials.

With 0 Energy you get only 20% of the EXP and no item drops. See Energy and Party.

What a level-up gives you

  • +1 stat point to put into a primary stat.
  • Access to stronger equipment. Each item has a level you need to wear it.

Level alone does not raise your damageYour stat points and your equipment make your hero stronger. A level-up gives you one more point to spend.

Losing EXP

Your hero can lose EXP when defeated in PK areas, and the level can go down. When that happens, you lose 1 stat point, and equipment above your new level is taken off.

The six primary stats

Every hero has six primary stats. Each point raises some combat stats and lowers others, so where you put your points shapes your hero’s style.

StatRaisesLowers
STRPhys. DMG (a lot), HP (a little)Mag. DMG, CDR
DEXPhys. and Mag. Crit DMG, Phys. and Mag. Crit %HP (a little)
INTMag. DMG (a lot), MP (a little)Phys. DMG, CDR
CONHP (a lot), natural HP recovery, HP potion healingMP, Phys. and Mag. DMG, CDR
WISMP (a lot), Mag. DMG (a little), natural MP recovery, MP potionsPhys. Crit (very little)
CHACDR (a lot), shorter item cooldowns (a little)HP
  • Stats also change Move SPD a little: DEX makes you faster, INT and CON slower.
  • ACC and EVA come only from equipment, not from primary stats.
  • There is no magic resistance stat.

A new hero starts with 2 points in every stat, and the rest of its starting total (15–21) is added at random. A Trial Hero starts with 14. See Heroes.

Place and reset stat points

  1. Open the Dashboard and tap your hero’s portrait to open the Hero screen.
  2. Your unspent stat points are shown at the bottom left. Tap More….
  3. Use + and − to place your points, then tap Apply.

  1. On the Hero screen, tap Detail, then Reset.
  2. Use 1 Book of Oblivion to reset.

The Reset window shows your starting stats and how many points you get back.
  • You get back the points you earned from levels. Your stats go back to your hero’s starting values, not to 0.
  • Buy the Book of Oblivion in the Item Shop’s XTO tab.
  • Trial Heroes and rented heroes cannot be reset.

Combat stats

Combat stats are the numbers that decide a fight. Most of them come from your equipment, and your primary stats then multiply them.

StatWhat it doesMainly from
HPYour healthOrb, CON
MPUsed by skillsNecklace, WIS
CDRCooldown reduction for skillsNecklace, CHA
Phys. DMG / Mag. DMGDamage of physical and magic skillsWeapon, STR / INT
Phys. / Mag. Crit DMGExtra damage on a critical hitBracelet, DEX
Phys. / Mag. Crit %Chance of a critical hitEarrings, DEX
EVAChance to dodge an attackOrb
ACCLowers the target’s EVA when you attackAccessory options
Move SPDHow fast you moveBuffs, primary stats
Damage IncreaseExtra damage from buffs and runesSkills, runes
ShieldBlocks part of the damage you takeOrb, skills

In short: combat stat = (base + equipment) × (1 + bonus from your primary stats). Better equipment makes every stat point worth more.

See your stats

  1. Tap your hero’s portrait at the top left of the screen.
  2. The Profile shows your primary stats (STR to CHA) and all combat stats, including equipment and active effects.

Rune debuffs apply one-to-one per caster. If several players put rune debuffs on you, the Profile values are only an estimate.

When levels are different

Zone Sync in lower-level fields

When your hero is above a field’s recommended level, you see “Zone Sync Activated!” and your combat stats are lowered for that field. The Sync Level follows the highest gear tier you have equipped, not your hero level.

Level resistance in PvP

From Lv.40, a hero gets level resistance points (10 at Lv.40, up to 29 at Lv.59). Against a lower-level player, debuffs they put on you are slightly shorter, and accuracy and evasion are adjusted slightly in your favor. This applies only between players.

See PK for player fights.
